The Hangout Music Festival 2015 Gulf Shores, Alabama, USA, May 15th – 17th
A three day music festival on the beach with the Foo Fighters headlining, what could be better? With 70 bands over six stages, you are definitely going to find something you love here.
The first instalment in 2010 was badly effected by the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, although it still ran, attendance was low. In the years since it has grown from strength to strength and this year looks set to become the biggest yet.
The Foo Fighters are an all-time favourite, and to see them live on a beach in Alabama would be worth the airfare alone if you are not local.
Other stand outs include Paramore who have great tunes and a really hot front woman, Damian Marley who is the youngest son of reggae legend Bob Marley, Vintage Trouble who have been making a lot of noise internationally over the last few years and are brilliant live.
Three days of music and sunshine with a couple of beers thrown in for cooling down purposes obviously. This year they have opened access to the sea, so if it is all getting too much you can have a relaxing swim. The only problem is that this isn’t a surfing beach.
